Xylenes, Purified Solvents by Leica Biosystems is a purified xylene solvent specially formulated for histology laboratory workflows. It is used primarily as a clearing agent during tissue processing and as a solvent for deparaffinization before staining. The product is supplied in solvent-resistant, non-breakable containers and is suitable for routine histology and pathology applications. Leica Biosystems offers the product in a 1-gallon (3.8 L) container as well as a case configuration of 4 × 1 gallon.
